Meet G'Day Poopsie & Jenny
‘Boris’ only recently retired from racing winning 2 of his 14 race starts. He was Amanda Davis-Williams first race horse as well as her first winner after taking out her trainers license and he is still owned by Amanda. The 6-years-old gelding is only very lightly raced due to feet issues, after gaining a throat injury the decision was made to retire him from racing. Neither of the issues will stop or hinder him from excelling off the track. Boris was always tricky to manage, but being quite speedy with a great attitude made it worthwhile.
Jenny Duggan, a great friend of Amanda,
race rode Boris in 7 of his 14 starts for a win and a second. Since his retirement she has continued to ride and jump him away from the track.
It is wonderful seeing jockeys and trainers pursue their partnership with horses after retirement from racing .
G’Day Poopsie *2017 (Skyclad x Farrbak Lady) retired in May 2023 with 14 starts for 2 wins and 1 placing and a total of $43,730 in prize money, trained by Amanda Davis-Williams at Wyong.
